Character History

Miranda is a Jones like the rest of them: prettier than she thinks, sarcastic, and a bit out there. She was born between Cyrano and Gretchen and spent most of her time intervening between the two of them, mainly siding with her sister, who she considers her best friend.

She was Sorted into Hufflepuff and was the fourth Jones in the Class of 1972. She played Chaser at school and was good. However, she was not good enough and was unable to play professionally like she'd wanted.

Instead she wound up at the Ministry on the Muggle-Worthy Excuse Committee, where she tells old men that Muggles are not stupid enough to believe half the things they come up with and is dreadfully underpaid and ignored.

She can usually be found out in the evenings in the company of Gretchen or Calypso Jones. Sometimes both.

She still holds out the belief that Cyrano will come around someday (she hopes).

On January 2, 1980, she along with Apollo Jones and Mina Jones were murdered while they worked at the Ministry of Magic.
