Description
Maddie resembles her older sister Mary the most of all her siblings. But where Mary is tall, Maddie is about average height at 5'5". She has a thin build and brown eyes. She keeps her red hair a little longer than chin length but not quite to her shoulders. It is naturally straight, but she likes to charm it curled. She burns easily, like her sister Mary, and otherwise enjoys a clear complexion with occasional freckles. Her notable feature is her mile-long legs, a trait that she shares with her cousin Johanna. She has scars across the fingers on her right hand where Sam accidentally slammed her fingers in a door.
Character History
Maddie was born around noon on June 30, 1963, and her childhood was average above all. She loved being baby-sat by all her siblings, but was (and is) particularly close to her brother Sam. Though she is a Gryffindor at school, she is considered friendly and has friends from outside her house and year. Though her best friend from the first day at Hogwarts is Eric Weasley, she is also best (girl) friends with Hufflepuffs Imogene Jacobs, Charlotte Branstone, Jill Davies, and Ayati Iyer. She is often part of the rest of the collective that is often referred to as "JACIBEL + PBMTE" by the muns (short for Jill, Ayati, Charlotte, Imogene, Bracer, Emerson, and Lance, 1981 Hufflepuffs, and Palmer, Brion, Maddie, Teagan, and Eric, 1981 Gryffindors) some of which can be (often derisively) referred to as Future Aurors by fellow students. They have since been rechristened "JACIBEL + TEMP" following Brion's untimely death, and "JACIBEL + EMP" after Teagan's unofficial excommunication from the group.
Her first in-game appearance was in December 1979, loudly protesting Sam's appearance on Witch Weekly's Most Elligible Bacherlors list. That winter, Maddie attended the Ministry's New Year's Eve Ball with Gryffindor Brion McKinnon, and was also surprised (and somewhat hurt) by Mary's elopement with the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor, Archer Bowman. After kissing Lance Morgan at a party in Hufflepuff, she asked him out via a game of Hangman over the journals.
That summer, Maddie was a busy girl - she ran around with her friends, was kept in the house because of the Dementors swarming in London, and even found the time to attend a Eurocup Quidditch match. She was in attendance at a party at the McKinnons' house on the night that Brion McKinnon was killed and Palmer Pinkstone was tortured in a Muggle grocery.
She returned to school in September for her seventh year, and in her first act of vigilantism hexed Rosalind Bletchley in retaliation for... well, many things, but in particular, on behalf of Imogene, who had found herself once again the target of Rosalind's bullying. On the same glorious day (September 17, for anyone who's keeping track), Lance officially asked her to be his girlfriend - with another game of Hangman. Her year was more or less average after that. She scored well on her NEWTs and though she considered entering the MLE after all her siblings, she was hired by the International Association of Quidditch as a statistician. She moved in with the Gryffindor boys after one night of living alone in Sarah's old flat.

General Knowledge
Maddie is a member of the 1981 class, in Gryffindor. Her older siblings all work or have at one time worked in the MLE (Mary is a former MLEP officer, Sarah is an Auror, and Sam is the personal secretary to Amelia Bones). She is outgoing, friendly, and more or less immediately identifiable by her bright red hair.
Yearmates
Even though Maddie is overall friendly, she has a temper and will argue quite heatedly. She could be, at times, known as a bitch. She doesn't play Quidditch, but loves to watch it and has a lot of Quidditch statistics in her brain. She runs around with the Gryffindor boys and most of Hufflepuff.
Friends
Depending on their level of caring about the subject (or for the boys, how much they are paying attention when the girls are talking nearby), Maddie is a virgin. They know most of her "bored" habits - i.e. doodling in class, playing with her hair, and she is right-handed. They will have seen her party trick: she is double jointed in her elbows. Her Patronus is a dolphin. (Others not in her circle probably know this, depending on how much attention they pay.)
Family
Her three siblings probably know most of her 'favorites' from childhood. They would know that their dad's nickname for her ('Button', with no apparent rhyme or reason). Though she has not overtly said anything to her friends about the family's leanings, her mother is a typical Beamish and all that entails. It annoys Maddie. She likes to cook (closer friends may know this).

Sam is her favorite sibling.
