1. What is your full name?
August Ioan Barbary
2. Where and when were you born?
5 September 1956
3. Who are/were your parents? (Know their names, occupations, personalities, etc.)
Mum's Joanne Barbary, she was a Rookwood at some point and I know that means something to some people. Anyway, she's a Mediwitch at St. Mungo's in the Creature Division or what. Babies, you know. They count. Dad's Wesley and he works with the madpeople at St Mungo's. He hates when I call them that, too. But that's what they are. I work with them everyday, as well.
4. Do you have any siblings? What are/were they like?
I have Heathcote, who's a Slytherin and little bit of a prat but he's growing up to be all right, and Primrose, who's only eleven and I like her a lot. Even though I don't show it so much.
5. Where do you live now, and with whom? Describe the place and the person/people.
Right now, to be honest, I live in two places, which I'm sure is going to be a little more clear in a few moments. First is with my parents. This is where I drink and do all sorts of drugs and get to lie about and do nothing all day because that's what's expected. Second, I've got a large, nice flat in London which is my more permanent residence and where I spend a lot of time when no one's looking. It's very secretive, I'm the only one that knows it exists outside the people I work with. But we've all been sworn to secrecy anyway. This is all possible due to, yes, this next question:
6. What is your occupation?
I work in the Time division of the Department of Mysteries. It's very nice and always a challenge. I've been issued a Time Turner for this purpose, which has enabled me to lead my two lives without anyone questioning anything. My family and friends have no idea that I work here.
7. Write a full physical description of yourself. You might want to consider factors such as: height, weight, race, hair and eye color, style of dress, and any tattoos, scars, or distinguishing marks.
I'm of average height, about 5'10" with pale skin and hair and slightly pointy features but not in a bad way. I'm thin, just like everyone in my family, but thanks to all the drinking and drugs I've put on a few pounds in the last five years since I left school. I don't have tattoos or scars but I do have my ears pierced and normally wear small silver hoops in them. When I'm at work, I wear my black work robes and when I'm at "home," which is with my parents, I wear whatever I can find that's relatively clean.
8. To which social class do you belong?
Upper middle.
9. Do you have any allergies, diseases, or other physical weaknesses?
No, not really. I've been known to contract a curable venereal disease every once in awhile, though.
10. Are you right- or left-handed?
Right-handed.
11. What does your voice sound like?
Normal, with a rather thick Berwick accent.
12. What words and/or phrases do you use very frequently?
Words in the Queen's English, I'd hope. Lots of jargon for my workplace when I'm there, and then I swear quite a bit when I'm at home.
13. What do you have in your pockets?
My Time Turner, a pack of cigarettes, and three stamps of a muggle drug they call acid.
14. Do you have any quirks, strange mannerisms, annoying habits, or other defining characteristics?
I think that double-life thing is enough quirkiness for one person. But I'm very in-tune with my Id, if that says anything at all. And by now, in terms of age, I should be at least twenty-five even though my birthdate says otherwise by about two years less.
15. How would you describe your childhood in general?
Happy enough, until my siblings started coming around. I enjoyed Heathcote for the first five minutes he was home... until he started crying. He had an incredibly shrill voice for a baby boy.
16. What is your earliest memory?
I'm sure that if I had some way of digging it out, something prior to Heathcote's birth would come up, but that's really the first thing I can remember in my life. They brought him home in March, I remember and it was raining and I was upset that Dad wouldn't let me outside to play in the puddles.
17. How much schooling have you had?
Seven years at Hogwarts and a couple of years training at the Department, though most of that is certainly on-the-job and rather on-going.
18. Did you enjoy school?
That depends on who you ask. I have nice memories of it, yes, but I think my Professors would tell you that I despised it, even though I had decent marks.
19. Where did you learn most of your skills and other abilities?
Most of my preliminary magic skills were taught at home under the supervision of my father. My mother taught me how to take care of myself rather well on my own when I was at home over the summers, so I don't find cleaning charms and cooking to be incredibly difficult, which would probably be a surprise to most people. My father also taught me very basic magical first-aid, which I suspect was to help if my brother and sister ever needed it as they were growing up.
