Character History
After Lorraine Blenkinsop dumped Brock and Trent Blenkinsop's father, Lloyd Giddings, over his treatment of Barnabus, Lorraine packed up her things and the boys, loaded up the car, and moved to Margate, England, where she took a job as a member of the hotel staff. It was through her work at the hotel that she lived a common tennant, a Muggle who came to Margate first as a traveling salesman and then over time to see Lorraine. Their relationship resulted in the conception of Hayley, after which this Muggle informed Lorraine that he was married and could not help her support the child. He ceased to return to Margate, and Lorraine gave birth to Hayley nine months later in October 1960.
Barnabus went to Hogwarts in October 1961. Brock went to Hogwarts in September 1964. Trent went to Hogwarts in September 1965. Hayley spent much of the childhood she can recollect living alone with her mother and seeing her brothers over Christmas holidays. Still, she looked forward to their visits and was keenly aware of the letters that her mother would receive regarding her sons' behavior at school. With three of the boys out of the house, Lorraine dated frequently and Hayley watched her series of bad relationships that led them to move from place to place around the southern coast of England. Lorraine generally preferred coastal cities and always lived in the south of England.
Hayley is fairly laid-back and easy-going, especially compared to her brothers, but she always looked up to them and shared their interest in Quidditch. She followed them into Hufflepuff, and when she got out of school, she took a job at The Daily Prophet as a Copy Editor. Her magic is not particularly strong, and she cannot conjure a Patronus or Apparate. Her mother secretly hoped throughout her childhood that Hayley might be a Squib, but she did attend Hogwarts and her magical ability grew stronger as she completed her coursework.
At Hogwarts, she made nice girl friends in Brittain Lathrop and Faith Burbage, although she does have a noted interest in bad boys and men who could lead her into trouble. Luckily, not many of these sorts of men are at her disposal and she is absolutely not allowed to date her brothers' friends. She is incredibly apprehensive about Muggle men and trusts her brothers more than she trusts anyone else in the world. Although her two best friends are girls, Hayley does like having her bro time with her brothers or anyone else's, talking about sports.
Hayley is a heavy smoker because cigarettes help her to feel calm and in control.

Close friends and obviously family would know that Hayley is the half-sister to Barnabus, Brock, and Trent. However, she generally refers to them as her "brothers" and someoen who doesn't know her very well might assume that she and her brothers have the same two parents. She absolutely never speaks about having a father, so the assumption might sometimes be that he is dead. What exactly is going on in the Blenkinsop family probably isn't CLEAR but it isn't A SECRET either.
Hayley and her brothers do not know who her father is, nor will they ever know.
