Acquaintances
Francis is oversexed, riotous and usually somewhat (seemingly) drunk. The outcast brother of Amelia Bones. Smokes and swears a lot (usually "shit" or "fuck"). He's a bartender and it has been rumored he's been arrested several times for possession of various illegal substances. Anyone from the years of 1973 to 1979, potentially, may remember his parties and the chaos he wreaked. He was also the go-to man at Hogwarts if you needed to get something from outside the castle. Ministry workers may see him visiting his wife during work hours.
'75ers
Francis slept with anything in a skirt up until and after beginning to date Searlait during school, but mostly Meredith. He is pretty much the party host. His best mate is Brand Smith. He sabotages any authority he comes up against. Likes loud punk music. He showed up sporadically in England after Hogwarts until 1977, and is quite a world traveler.
Closer '75ers/Friends
He is head-over-heels in love with his wife and his kid. He disappeared for nearly a year after Esmi Waldgrave's death (making brief appearances in England) all over the world, and spent a good chunk of the time in Russia. He was a black-market dealer and bartender in Knockturn up until recently. He has a little brother he brags about on occasion. He also plays guitar decently if he gets drunk enough or if you let him. He was absolutely crushed by the death of Beverley Shacklebolt.

Everything that the Close '75ers/Friends know, except that news of Eleanor came in much later to them.
Brand and Alex
Pretty much everything except what happened in Russia and various Knockturn things he's experienced and seen that he's not willing to talk to anyone about, as well as the issue of Searlait losing the baby. From first year on for Brand, of course, and ... forever, for Alex. Francis likes to talk and hear himself talk, and would probably tell everything below to both of them except for what I previously mentioned.
Secret
In Russia and Knockturn, he did a lot of iffy things (none of them actually hurtful, other than duels and fistfights) that he has yet to tell anyone about. He witnessed several murders and torture scenes but never laid a hand on anyone. He once proposed to Katja Poliakovna, but she thought he was joking. He would have raised Searlait and Sean's child as his own, and married Searlait, had she not miscarried; the miscarriage (along with traumatizing him) essentially shattered the image he had established of a happy family and inevitably the realization of how untrue that image was led to his cheating and their breakup.
