Description

 

Daphne is not a tall person, she's about 5'1".  Right now she is bigger than normal becuase she had two babies in a year of each other and is working on the baby weight.  She is a fairly active person, she puts a greater emphasis on doing things rather than sitting at home and being the perfect society wife.  She is perfectly happy to argue with anyone she disagrees with and sometimes it is easy to forget she was not always an Urquhart.  She is almost always seen in the company of her children, Aggie Flint, Victoria Pucey, or Quivoca Urquhart (when she is out of school).

Character History

 

Daphne first appeared after she found out she was pregnant with Xavier Urquhart and then was removed from the Scottish National Quidditch team.  She then is mostly remembered for argueing with anyone with ears about how Brock Blenkinsop cheated during the Eurocup game of Scotland v. England.  Whether or not Brock actually cheated is only known to Brock, but there was contact before he caught the Snitch and the Urquharts and everyone else Scottish were completely appalled at the outcome of the match.

 

Daphne is the second girl in the Runcorn family and the fourth oldest.  She has taken it upon herself to be the family mouthpiece in several different forms, unfortunately for her older brother Nathan.  She was a year behind her brother Albert, but they never got along well and has found herself much closer to both Nathan and Cynthia.  She tolerates her youngest sister, Ixoria, but she blames Ixoria for their mother's death because their mother died during childbirth.

 

However, she grew up mostly happy and spent many hours outdoors.  Her father was happy when she took up Quidditch.  She was all to eager to play and happily sat behind Hell Urquhart until Hell left her seventh year.  She didn't really date much during Hogwarts, many people assumed that she would eventually wind up with her male best friend, Pierreck Vaisey, but she always had a crush on Julian Urquhart.  Finally tired of waiting, she eventually snogged him and they have been together ever since.

 

Also during school, Daphne loved to pick on the perfect Head Boy, Archer Bowman.  She and her friends did whatever they could to harrass him, including the very memorable time that they put a tracking charm on him and caught him with Viva Switch Pritchard.  They often compliment Viva on her lingerie still.

 

Her best friend and has been since anyone could remember is Victoria Flint Pucey, although she is close to the girls she shared a dorm with still.  She's friendly enough, she will talk to most anyone, and she will also fight with almost anyone.

 

Daphne played Quidditch professionally as a Seeker for various teams until she became pregnant with her third child and was dropped from the Wigtown Wanderers.  She has since retired and lives happily as a mum.  Their nanny is Aggie Flint.

Daphne has a low tolerance for both Albert and Ixoria.  This is mostly known to anyone Daphne is close to.  Daphne also blames Ixoria for their mother's death even though she may not realize.  This is not common knowledge and most people would not realize that she does this.  She has always had a grudge against her sister.
