Character History

Lottie Parkin is the 5'0", under 120 pound Seeker for the Ballycastle Bats. She is the tiny, perky blonde who wears pigtails on Game Day and only on Game Day. ("They make me feel like a warrior," she says, though really they just make her look even younger.) She is a talented Seeker. She played Seeker for England U-21 from 1964-1969, Puddlemere United from 1969-1973, and has been playing on the Ballycastle Bats from their 1973-4 season all the way to this one.
She's had a long-standing, very public and not secret at all flirtation with Ricky Andrews since they were both in school. In her fifth year and his sixth, at the Ministry Ball (December 31, 1965), she kissed him at midnight. This tradition continued even when they ended up on the same Quidditch team, until she finally conceded to date him on December 31, 1980, at Sam and Rosie Frobisher's wedding.
Lottie was not always as crazy batshit as she may occasionally seem these days. During Hogwarts she was a bit unpredictable but a perky blonde Catholic virgin waiting until marriage for the entirety of her Hogwarts years. Only after leaving Hogwarts did she close off, refuse to date anyone, and occasionally react ridiculously violently to being touched or hit on (or seeing the women she cared most for being treated poorly by men). Roughly a month out of Hogwarts, the landlord of her flat raped her twice over the course of a week. She broke her lease and lived with her mother (for the next three years), but became pregnant from the assault. She remained in denial of the pregnancy, continued to play Quidditch, and refused to even consider the idea of an abortion. She miscarried four months in.
(So in case anyone was wondering why she's completely batshit crazy all of the sudden, this is why.)
