Character History

Ambrose has been into business since he was eight -- making money and connections left and right. At eight he used his allowance to buy sweets that were harder to find, and sold them at a profit to the kids he knew would want them, invested that money and proceeded to buy more and more until he had enough money to buy a broom. By that point he realised that Quidditch was much less enjoyable than what he was already doing.

In his first two years of Hogwarts he continued these practices, entered into Quidditch betting, and spent only some of his time actually studying. Most of his time was spent either socializing or attempting to make money and work on business. Summers he spent working in the Honeydukes stockroom, and with all that Hufflepuffian work ethic along with the support of Horace Slughorn, upon leaving school he became the assistant manager of Honeydukes. Within three years (in 1976), the owner/manager handed him the manager position and offered half-ownership, and four years after that (in 1980) he became full-owner of the store.

He is a serial monogamist who doesn't cheat but never gets very emotionally involved with his girls, and tends to call them "Doll."

He is part of the group that Kitty tends to call The Boys (what with the extreme lack of estrogen there). He is friends with Dewi Llewellyn and Myron Wagtail, and is therefore friends with Matt Summers and Lasair Connolly as a relative consequence.
